Makan Malaysia
This was a piece of work that I did while working for design agency Episode Two in Bristol. The client was a small ‘scale up’ business run by two women who specialised in making Malaysian food, providing sauces, meal kits and ready meals online. They wanted to take their business to the next level and start supplying farm shops, high end deli’s and eventually supermarkets with their products. They wanted a fun, authentic and unique brand and packaging solution to spark the interest of buyers and consumers, that reflected their outgoing personalities and exciting flavours. We pitched a range of strategic ideas to see which areas they felt most at home with, from quieter, more serious designs, to bold in your face ones, to authentic, naive artistic designs. I created all the illustrations, strap lines, and designs myself and although the project was eventually sadly put on hold due to budget restrictions, it remains one of my favourite pieces of work.
