KY Jelly

This project was while working for product design agency Kinneir Dufort. They were designing a new range of intimate toys and lubricant structural packaging and they wanted some quick packcepts to go with their products. They felt this was a chance to sell in a design that was more mature, more intimate, and ultimately more sexy for a gen z or millenial consumer. I wanted to use photography in these routes, to move away from the typical concept of colour then a small icon to denote product differences, for example, a heated product with a flame icon etc. I developed two quick concepts:

1. Come together, was about being more open and honest and therefore more intimate with our sexual moments.I felt this was a good opportunity to show all types of sex lives, same sex couples, interracial couples and more realistic people rather than airbrushed models. I wanted a more modern and inclusive take on sexual pleasure for the Instagram generation, with a light colour palette as a nod to KY's clean, medical background.

2. Come Closer, which uses the idea of the iconic KY diamond as a window to intimate moments. I wanted to be able to show glimpses of erotic and sensual images, fragmented between the shards of diamond edges, to create a pack that used the brand icon and evoked a feeling that people either identify with or aspire to in their sex lives.
